When you vote a man in office and give him a mandate for change and a congress to back him up, then there should be little question about what "we the people" want.
I've never been in favor of the Democratic or Republican party, and I sure don't have confidence in the corporate-owned political infrastructure of this country, but this public healthcare option can help give the Democrats some backbone. It can help move this country in a progressive direction without a bloody revolution to make it happen. It's time for this country to move forward on important social issues and not be blocked again and again by Republican thugs.
